Charting Master Class
Excel course in advanced charting
The Charting Master Class (CMC) is an 8-hour hands-on Excel course designed to cover
basic through advanced knowledge of the charting engine in Excel. It covers all the basics quickly, then
examines the advanced charting settings and types and provides guidance on how to build and structure the more
common types of special purpose charts.
Some of this knowledge is more detailed and specialised than would appeal to all our
modelling students, hence its inclusion in a separate Excel course.
This Excel course also covers the layout of data and effective formulas to retrieve and
display data, together with interface layout and design, so it is also suitable for students who have not studied the FAC.
It aims to take an experienced Excel user and assist them in maximising the range of
charts they can produce, whilst simplifying the complexity and process steps required.
The courseware includes a 60+ page handbook together with a CD-ROM which includes the
sample files, worked solutions for most problems and some reference documents.
A detailed course outline is included in the course brochure, a link to which is included at the bottom of this page.
This Excel course is available for in-class teaching publicly from Clarkson ITT. The
same Excel course is available privately through Clarkson ITT, see Public Courses and
Private Courses web pages.
The course is now available publicly through Clarkson ITT in
Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
